The Final of the 2006 Studio Piano Competetion took place on 30th June 2006. The adjudicators were Dr Derrick Hyde (Senior Examinor, Trinity Guildhall Examinations Board), Mr Graham Harvey (Arts Development Officer) & Mr John Perkins (Managing Director Clovelly Recordings). The standard was extremely high in each category. The overall winner, who goes on to make a CD in the studio, was the Russian 14 year old pianist Svyatoslav Antipov who played (from memory) Die Lorely - Liszt & Scherzo Opus 2 No 10 - Prokofiev. Svyatoslav begins his studies at The Purcell School in September 2006.
