The Central Band of The Royal British Legion

March music is a central component for all ceremonial occasions. More commonly the parade march is used for ceremonial occasions such as Trooping of the Colour, Changing the Guard and Regimental ceremonial parades.  From this rich ceremonial heritage the march has become one of the most popular elements of concert performances by bands, and the Central Band of the British Legion always includes marches in its concert programmes. This inspirational recording draws together some of the marches that were written to mark great wartime events.
