The Sheringham Shantymen
The Sheringham Shantymen were launched in 1990 following a couple of
'one off' concerts, by a group of local lifeboatmen celebrating the history
of the Town and it's Lifeboats. The Shantymen haven't stopped making music
since then. They maintain a close connection with the RNLI reflected in
their membership. One man has a record of 50 years continuous RNLI service
as crew, shore helper and Branch Committee Member. They also have the current
RNLI Honorary Secretary, Treasurer (and ex lifeboat doctor) and Branch Chairman
