"In November 1999 we gave our first major concert at the Exmouth Pavilion to a very appreciative, sell out audience. Since then we have continued to hold charity concerts in the Pavilion each April and October. The band also performs to the public every Monday evening during the summer months in the grounds of the Imperial Hotel on the Exmouth seafront, and in December 2005 the band gave its first performance at the University of Exeter Great Hall to an audience of over 1200, which was well received and resulted in it becoming an annual event. The band consists of voluntary members aged from 14 years to 83 plus years, and ex-members have progressed to join music colleges, conservatoires and professional bands".
