This DVD of the concert held on Walmer Green on Sunday 12th July 2009 has been made to mark the 20th anniversary of the bombing of the Royal Marines School of Music at Deal on 22nd September 1989, where 11 musicians were tragically killed and many more were injured. Although the concert was, as always, tinged with sadness, it was also a joyous occasion with in excess of 10,000 people enjoying the splendour of two Royal Marines bands displaying all the musical and ceremonial skills for which they are renowned.

This DVD release includes the complete (almost 2 hours) of music as played by the two bands at The Deal Memorial Bandstand. We hope you enjoy this unique record of the day, all the profits of which will go towards the on-going work of maintaining the bandstand and its annual programme of free public concerts in memory of those who died.

Clovelly Recordings is distributing this DVD on behalf of the Deal Memorial Bandstand Trust. 100% of the profits go to the Bandstand Trust who arrange a series of free concerts at the Bandstand from May till September.
